A7/8: I think these 2 go hand-in-hand! Collaboration for both Ss and Ts will enable expanding horizons beyond the classroom, & open new experiences that innovate beyond typical repeated instructional techniques. Gets them ALL more interested! #LearnLAP

A8: I am trying to read lit in my content area to connect instructional tools w/cross-curricular activities - AND using tech/gaming to develop it. #engsschat

A7: Even though I wasn't hired to be a tech coach, I tried to help colleagues any time I could when they needed it & didn't know where to turn (my district didn't have a team for this). I'd also share my research into gamification! #engsschat

A6: I have a unique situation, but as a gen ed T working with some spec ed Ss, sometimes I'm not sure if Ss are grasping the content that's online until I see them in the classroom. I'm grateful for awesome spec ed colleagues! #LearnLAP

A5: 1 of my Ss was struggling but the extra instruction in the online setting allowed her to make an honors band at her new school, just by catching up & with enrichment music theory-type lessons. So much potential to use this platform to supplement (like flipping!). #LearnLAP

A6: Some of my colleagues have been resistant to tech so I try to share what I'm doing from the tech side in a non-core subject to make them more interested. Sometimes it's frustrating bc this IS the future! #engsschat

A5: I want to learn more about maximizing my Ss' ability to use tech w/limited equipment at school (to gamify music skills!). There are so many ways to utilize it in a music classroom but with limited budget I have to make a little hardware go a long way w/many Ss! #engsschat

A4: In my return to teaching, I plan to connect in-person PBIS-like activities w/success in the online part of what we've worked with over summer. It's easy to do this with a band class setup! They already feel rewarded by their progress & I love it! #learnlap

A4: Some of my beginners who started late (band director here currently) were able to catch up & even go ahead using platforms for online help. As a T I was also able to give extra "coaching" to some of my IEP students & they flourished! #engsschat

A3: Although I had a year off for medical things, I learned that for tech to work effectively, ALL students need ability to access! Otherwise I'd be leaving Ss further behind & more discouraged! #engsschat

A2: Although my opportunities to use a BL platform is still newer, I've loved being able to connect Ss of different skill levels in a safe environment - they help each other catch up on fundamental skills & then are used to that leadership when they practice in person! #LearnLAP

A1: I love that using what I know of blended learning creates a perfect summer learning opportunity for kids to catch up on skills for their future band or music classes - but works in any discipline I'm sure! #LearnLAP
