🚨 Charlie Cox says he was devastated when audiences barely reacted to his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
He went to a theater in Connecticut to hear the crowd’s reaction when Matt Murdock appeared but the room was “dead f*cking quiet.”
Cox said only one person whispered, “Oh cool,” in a sea of silence.
He later described the moment as a “real anti-climax” and said he felt “so disappointed,” eventually asking his wife to stop filming because the reaction was so awkward.

Jeff I have said the same thing. But we are the idiots. “It’s a time honored tradition for the wrestler to go out on his back”. Ask those kids in tears how they feel about time honored tradition. This should have been different than that. I asked several people, who refused to answer, let’s just say he won. What would that atmosphere have been like? How many of those kids (and adults) would have lost their minds. This nonsense of this is the way it’s always been has got to go. Because if you want to live with that then John should have gotten a receipt on Brock but that didn’t happen. It’s all subjective. But this one pretty obvious to most it would have been so easy to just let everyone go home happy.

Love watching movies when the superhero gets destroyed in the final scene and then dies. Even better is when my favorite sports team not only gets beat but gives up with a smile on their face. Makes me feel good about spending time/money on the night. 🤦♂️ Creative is subjective.
