@foxiebiette @belikegift6 That’s true. I guess I was focusing on her language of “loving her the way I did”. I took that to not be about amount of love but kind. Sokka loved her, but still has someone who fills her role in his life so it didn’t hurt the same way it hurt katara who didn’t get that

@Lydonic @belikegift6 That's just how trauma works especially severe trauma. Not remembering events is common, and Katara remembering hers vividly is also a trauma response, not proof she loved her mother more than Sokka did
