Last night’s storms brought damage - and today MODR chainsaw teams brought help. Thanks to the Maryville team who were quick to respond in Stanberry with skill, compassion, and faith.

With severe weather forecasted today, we are asking MODR volunteers to be on alert. There has been no deployment issued, but we want teams ready should the need arise. Stay safe, be weather aware, and watch for more updates from MODR. Thank you for staying ready to serve.

Every Thursday, our MODR Maintenance Team is hard at work behind the scenes — inspecting, repairing, and preparing our equipment so we’re ready to deploy at a moment’s notice. Their faithfulness and attention to detail mean our teams can respond quickly and safely. Thank you!

Congratulations to MODR volunteer Toby Tucker for winning the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Distinguished Service Award. Toby went above and beyond while serving 62 days as Incident Commander on 3 different tornado responses in 2025.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the forecast for severe weather in SW Missouri tomorrow, this weekend’s MODR training will now take place entirely online. Our priority is keeping volunteers, trainers, and participants safe while ensuring training can go as planned.

MODR volunteers have been serving in Jamaica repairing hurricane-damaged roofs and in Louisiana supporting survivors of recent ice storms. Chainsaw teams deploy soon. Please pray for survivors and volunteers as we bring Help, Hope & Healing.

Severe Winter Weather: Please take care of yourselves and your families. Ensure your devices and batteries are fully charged, make plans for alternative heat sources if possible, and take time to check on neighbors who may be especially vulnerable during extreme cold.
