Pacific Grove grad Gideon Llantero wins the men’s javelin for MPC with State A mark of 160-5

Ariel Ferrell ties her own MPC school record in the pole vault, clearing 11-feet-6 in winning the event at the Pat Ryan Invite in Santa Rosa. Lillian Thrasher captures the 100 hurdles (15.20), high jump (5-5), and the long jump (18-2)

Congrats to Lobo sophomore, Lillian Thrasher (Hollister HS), for breaking the MPC School Record in the High Jump. Lily cleared a lifetime best of 1.68m (5’6) to set the new record. Lily currently holds school records in the High Jump, Long Jump, and Heptathlon. #whyMPC

Lily Thrasher breaks the MPC track and field school record in the high jump, clearing 5-6 1/4 at the Albiani Invite in Modesto. She also won the 100 hurdles (15.02) and finished second in the long jump (18-4 1/4), taking third in the 100 (12.40)

Running back AJ McBean of Mira Costa ran the 100 meters in 10.61 seconds last week. Suddenly, he was receiving communication from college recruiters. If you want to get recruited, run track. Legitimate track times offer immediate credibility far more than a 7 on 7 game.

Oliver Ottmar wins the men’s high jump for MPC, clearing 6-7 at the Beaver Invitational. Lily Thrasher wins the 100m hurdles, clocking a career best 15.29 and claims the high jump (5-5)

Lillian Thrasher earns State 'A' standards in the 100 meter hurdles (15.37), high jump (5-1) and pole vault (10-4) for MPC at the Lobo Invite. The Hollister grad also won the long jump (16-9.5)

Former Seaside standout Keon Ealey wins the 200 (22.49) and 400 (50.01) for MPC at the Lobo Invite. Oliver Ottmar won the high jump with a state qualifying 6-7 clearance. Gideon Llantero claims the javelin (154-4),

Mary Hooper finishes third overall for MPC at the Northern California cross country finals, earns all-NorCal honors

MPC, who has the longest current winning streak in the state at 15, has climbed to No. 7 in the California Community College Coaches football poll at 4-0. It will visit Redwoods this Saturday. It is one of seven teams in the National Division still undefeated.
