Maritime Baseball

A 20-hit offensive attack paced our 14-6 win last night against John Jay. Alex Bardi tied the single game record with 7 RBI’s & every starter had at least 1 hit. Four pitchers scattered 7 hits & combined for 15 K’s. Francis Montalvo secured his first college win in relief!

Congratulations to Joe Demos who was named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week! Joe was masterful allowing just 5 hits with 8 strikeouts in a complete game shutout against Baruch this past weekend. Over 15 innings on the season, Joe has allowed just 10 hits and only 1 run.

Not one, but TWO complete game shutouts by freshmen Joe Demos and Ryan Morash, with both guys earning their first college wins today! The bats were hot as well, combining for 20 runs on 26 in the two games combined.

Congratulations to Joey Goodman on his selection as the Skyline Conference Player of the Week! Joey excelled during 4 games in Florida, collecting a double, 2 triples & a home run to go along with 9 RBI’s. He finished the trip with a 1.194 OPS while playing an elite centerfield.

Congratulations to all of our players named to the Fall Provost’s List (3.0-3.5) and President’s List (>3.5). We had 24 out of 37 players receive an academic award, accounting for 65% of our team! Outstanding achievement boys!!!

Excited to release our 2026 schedule! Another challenging non-conference slate packed with regional powers including Montclair State, Keystone, RPI, Ramapo and the 2024 national champions, Misericordia. Conference weekend starts March 21st against USMV. Should be a great season!

What a great turnout for our 2025 Maritime Baseball Alumni game! Over 30 former Privateers took the field to show us what they still had left in the tank. Although the game was fun, the stories & laughs shared were what really made the afternoon memorable. See you again in 2026!

Come join us this Saturday as we take on @qcbaseball in a fall doubleheader at Hennekens Stadium on the campus of Queens College. First pitch scheduled for 12pm. Should be a beautiful day to watch some baseball. See you there!

Congratulations to our boys who received the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the third consecutive year. To be eligible, teams must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2024-2025 academic year.
