I am looking forward to seeing the details of this proposed project! It's encouraging to see continued progress in this area that went from a failed golf course to a vibrant place that all residents can use, and WSP can continue to grow.

Also of note is that our 2040 comp plan is not just a single person's opinion or preferences. It was put together following years of public input, surveys, consultant and staff work, open houses, public hearings, work sessions and finally, city council and Met Council approval.

A good reminder that the Met Council designated WSP as an "urban center." This meant that our 2040 comp plan was required to have areas guided for additional housing units. This area is guided as mixed use which allows for 20-40 units per acre.

UPDATE: Yesterday I attended the ground breaking event for this project. This was the easiest yes vote in favor of a project during my 9 years on planning commission. This is the ideal location. Always fun to see applications on paper move into the real world. On to construction!
