We either fix this or go de facto bankrupt
Kalshi@Kalshi

This disease is so wild!
In July I was on vacation for three weeks. Each day I felt a bit better, but not symptom free. I was sitting together with friends. Playing with my kids in the swimming pool. 10k steps each day. No issues the following days. Pool party with screaming kids, music and lights. No issue.
Now I am completely housebound again.
Can’t stand sounds and full of symptoms.
For me it makes no sense.

@moseskagan I put bamboo in a metal planter, air gapped over a concrete patio. Bamboo jail is the only way.

@dsethlewis The way xanax made all symptoms disappear instantly then come back after made me think this.

Long COVID doesn’t need a holistic approach. PEM, MCAS, and dysautonomia can all be explained by a single root cause. And we’re just one good biomarker and animal model away from finding a silver bullet drug

What’s your most controversial Long COVID opinion?

@RobertKennedyJr How about starting with paid maternity leave for new mothers? Like all the other civilized nations have.

Neither Donald Trump nor myself are against IVF. Of course, we want couples to get the help they need to have a baby.
At the same time, we are going to investigate the alarming decline in fertility. We will evaluate research implicating chemicals like glyphosate, BPA, heavy metals, xenoestrogens, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and so on. We will look into nutritional factors too. Why are sperm counts declining year after year? Why are girls reaching puberty so early? Why are so many couples infertile? The American people deserve answers, and we will provide them. So yes, IVF — but this issue is so much bigger than IVF.

It’s wild that Aaron Swartz was aggressively prosecuted for scraping JSTOR articles.
Meanwhile huge companies routinely scrape the public internet and sell it for $20/month and all is well.
Aaron helped create RSS, Creative Commons, Markdown and a little site called Reddit (which now ironically sells its data to AI companies) - all by the age of 26.
All he wanted was free and open access to information. Really makes you wonder the dent he’d have made on the world if he was still alive today.

@Jayde8700 I was allergic to peanuts 30 years ago when I was elementary school, so not sure where you’re getting your information.

@chydorina I took it for 3 days, it helped my symptoms but I became suicidal and had crazy vivid nightmares. Was able to connect it to montelukast immediately.

**Caution regarding neuropsychiatric side-effects on Montelukast**
If you have taken, are taking, or considering taking - Montelukast - please read the attached post. There might be many people out there that have attributed personality changes to being sick rather than to the drug.
I have never taken Montelukast OR recommended it but I am really concerned about these side effects and whether there are people taking it who do not KNOW that these are potential side effects.
What has your experience been?
Renuka Dhinakaran@renudhinakaran
#NEISVoid- need your help. Has anyone here quit Montelukast cold turkey? When I had to stop it for allergy provocation test, I was less angry & felt less unstable emotionally. Restarted it & bam, anger was back! Does it need to be tapered? @alexhaagaard @Szyzygy2 @JoannaNoBanana

@john_mcguirk Nuclear plants are way more green than continuing to rely on fossil fuels.

@mrsmacbiogal For MTFHR mutation methylfolate helps because it bypasses the enzyme that converts folic acid into methylfolate, and then methylb12 is a cofactor with that in creating methionine from homocysteine. So in essence it can help process the methylb12. That’s why a balance is needed.
English

@mrsmacbiogal I have that combo, that’s why I figured it out! It’s kind of an experiment. I find I can take methylated folate at the right dose but not methyl b12. But if I’m in a flare up I can’t. I also take antihistamine, vitamin C and Pepcid 2x/day.
English

@mrsmacbiogal If you have mcas methyl groups can also activate histamine.
