It’s an exciting day at @McMasterU with the opening of The Hub, 40,000 square feet of student activity space operated by @MSU_McMaster. This was a partnership btwn the Univ and MSU, made possible by students, who voted in ‘17 to create this space for the generations who follow.

This student really made an impact on me through his time at @McMaster. He survived civil war, then life in a refugee camp to now earn a degree. His story reminds us how important our work is. I’m grateful to have been in a position to help.

It's almost as if people are wilfully ignoring the legal power provinces have over employers, and how this was used to provide guaranteed sick days prior to Premier Murderclown coming to office and repealing legislation in this area.

The levers that a province has to administer something that can verify and then pay out within days/weeks vs months is non-existent. CERB is possible because the feds are able to start from the premise of trust and collect on the back-end bc they control Revenue Canada.
