I mean, to me it's the opposite: 1st person allows you to focus more on the character inner monologue than 3rd - and thus allows to build empathy more quickly if done well

What annoys me about Kamala 2028 discourse is that until recently there was a general understanding that you had one chance to run for president and that was it. Nobody was debating if Romney should run in 2016. Kamala had her chance. If she runs I hope she loses the primary.
