@KRS_levert @titansfilmroom He had more usage as a WR. Yes his skill set was better for a WR, but also bc he fit into this role where Love is asked to do more as a runner. I’m not saying he’s Kamara as a receiver but he has the skill to do so.

@KRS_levert @titansfilmroom First, glad you’re a vol too. I use Kamara as an example bc he’s top tier. I’m not saying he’s on tha level but production wise he’s not far off. Also, that was Kamara’s main use w/ Hurd as the lead back so Kamara should have way better receiving stats.

@MachenMurphy @titansfilmroom See that’s where I completely disagree. Fellow vol fan here, I saw every college game of kamara’s. He had nearly 400 Yards receiving his last year at UT and it was a talked about thing how he was essentially a WR out the backfield. He destroyed A&M receiving. Not comparable imo

@KRS_levert @titansfilmroom When the Vols had Alvin Kamara, they rarely if ever lined him up in the slot and he’s probably the best receiving back in the NFL. Why? Not bc he wasn’t good or coached didn’t want to utilize his skills. Bc he played RB and the WRs on the team were better at playing receiver.

@MachenMurphy @titansfilmroom His low highlight count was likely because his coaches didn’t utilize him as a receiver, instead deciding his apparently great receiving ability should go basically go un utilized. Or maybe they just see him more than anyone and know he’s not a great receiver out the backfield

@KRS_levert @titansfilmroom 1) I’m going to go out on a limb and say his low highlight count is bc he played RB, not WR. 2) Any coach who trusts his RB to line him up in the slot has obviously seen enough in practice to let him do it in game. 3) He ran routes at the combine and looked great.

@titansfilmroom Brother, a four play highlight tape? Where he catches 3 passes and the only decent route he runs is one single angle route? That to you is proving yourself as a receiver out the backfield?
