Let’s put this dishonest “double standard” argument to rest once and for all. Blackface is not harmless imitation, it is rooted in a long, ugly history of minstrel shows where white performers caricatured Black people as lazy, ignorant, criminal, and subhuman to justify slavery, segregation, and systemic oppression. It wasn’t just offensive, it was a tool used to normalize white supremacy and shape how Black people were treated in real life. There is no equivalent history where Black people used “white face” to dominate, dehumanize, or oppress white people. There is no history of laws, policies, or violence reinforced by caricatures of white inferiority. So no, a white person adorning Blackface it is not the same as a Black comedian cosplaying a white woman. That’s not a double standard, that’s the difference between oppression and satire, between punching down and punching up, between racism and comedy. Calling that hypocrisy isn’t insight, it’s gaslighting. You don’t get to ignore history, erase power dynamics, and then pretend the two are equal. Miss me with the false equivalence.

This is a really important distinction that a lot of people miss when they hear Israeli leaders or rabbis talking about the Messiah or Moshiach right now. The Jewish people as a whole never accepted Jesus as the Messiah when He came 2,000 years ago they were expecting a political and military conqueror who would immediately overthrow Rome, defeat all their enemies, rebuild the Temple, gather the exiles, and bring world peace. Jesus came first as the suffering servant, isaiah 53 He challenged their religious system, taught forgiveness and humility, and was crucified. So they rejected Him. That’s why, when modern rabbis or Netanyahu talk about the Messiah coming, they’re not talking about Jesus returning in their view, the Messiah hasn’t come yet they’re still waiting for that first appearance the conquering king who checks all the traditional boxes. But here’s where it gets heavy, and why we need to test everything carefully (1 John 4:1): Jesus Himself warned about this exact situation in John 5:43: “I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him." The Bible describes a coming figure the Antichrist, the man of sin, the beast who will do many of the exact things the Jewish people have been taught to expect from their Messiah •Confirm a strong covenant with many (Daniel 9:27) •Appear to bring peace and protection for Israel •Have enormous political power •Possibly even allow or oversee Temple activity Scripture also shows the sequence Jesus will return in fire and glory after the Jewish people have suffered greatly under the false messiah’s rule and finally cry out for the true One Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11:25-26. At that point Jesus said “when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn.” So when we hear rabbis or Israeli leaders talking about the Messiah arriving soon, we have to understand in their framework, this is the first coming they’ve been waiting for. To many Christians, it lines up with the warnings about the Antichrist’s rise we should pray for the Jewish people, stay anchored in the true Lamb, and test every spirit and every claim. The signs are stacking up fast right now war, sky signs, holy sites closing including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre during Holy Week, rabbis naming dates, and even claims like Chris Bledsoe’s Lady saying Jesus would return at Easter 2026 But we have to test the spirits carefully. What if the entity speaking to Bledsoe is giving accurate future events Iran-Israel conflict, orbs from the ocean to build trust, while actually pointing toward the Antichrist’s appearance framing it as a positive spiritual return? The Bible warns that deceptive spirits can appear as angels of light and perform signs to lead many astray 2 Corinthians 11:14, Matthew 24:24 It would make strategic sense for the Antichrist to emerge around Easter or Passover the very season of Jesus crucifixion and resurrection to give the strongest counterfeit impression possible. Especially with Passover falling on April Fools’ Day this year a literal day of deception We should pray for the Jewish people, stay anchored in the true Lamb, and test every spirit and every claim the stage for the great deception being set up time to stay awake spiritually and pay attention.
