#ONEPIECE1181 Imu’s dialogue this chapter was super interesting. Usually characters who are corrupt delude themselves into thinking they’re not and that everyone else is the problem And while Imu does believe he is above everyone, he’s also interestingly well aware and acceptant of the fact that he is evil. To admit he’s evil/the devil/and that his power is sourced from corruption is a shocking amount of self-awareness, and a stark contrast to all the other Celestial Dragons we’ve seen up to now Even the small flashback framed him as the one who was betrayed by Joy Boy, almost like he felt he had no choice but to resort to evil. There’s already a lot of nuance to his character I love it
