First @Heccles94 post in history that pretty much makes sense. With a #WorkersTripleLock these tax brackets are not too bad. Its notable how, although nobody has named it yet, apart from me natch, both the Left and Right alike are starting to intuit that taxes on most wages are too high and the #IncomeSocialism needs to be overturned or at least radically reformed. Interesting to see how the IncomeSocialist parties would respond to this. Its been notable that the one thing that nobody has proposed is slightly higher rates on very high incomes - at a level where the incomes do genuinely start to operate as a proxy for wealth. I imagine they would freak out. People like @DanNeidle - unlike Harry - are smart enough to know that these changes would see massive falls in tax revenue and require them to stop funnelling money to “good causes” like unfunded Boomer welfare and Proxy Reparations.
