Here’s a bonus point round up after last night’s OPTA update:
Malick Thiaw looks set to gain 1 bonus. Lewis Hall looks set to lose 1 bonus.
Thiaw gained 1 valuable pass which took him up to the exact 30 pass threshold at 83% accuracy (+4bps).
Hall on the other hand was deemed to have been dispossessed one additional time in the update (-1bps).
👉🏻Thiaw will therefore join Ramsdale in a 2-way tie for 1 bonus point.
👉🏻We had no bonus point (or DEFCON) changes in the Man City game.
Now, a lot of OPTA changes actually happened in time for FPL to update last night. Let’s go through those and see why they changed!
👉🏻Marcos Senesi moved from 0 to 2 bonus in an extremely tight bps swing!
He moved up to the 80+% pass threshold (+2 bps) and also gained 2 clearances (+1bps).
On the other hand, James Hill was agonisingly just 1bps away from 2 bonus points himself!
Both Hill and Senesi had almost identical stat lines!
•They both made one successful tackle (+2bps), had 14-15 CBI points (both worth +7bps) and made 4 recoveries (+1bps).
• They also both hit 80%+ pass accuracy (+4bps)
• The main decider was that Hill committed a foul (-1bps) whereas Senesi was fouled (+1bps) = a 2 point bps swing!
Very unlucky for Hill owners, such fine margins to be missing out on a couple of points!
👉🏻Alex Scott unfortunately dropped out of the bonus also, as a result of Senesi’s gain.
👉🏻Pascal Groß sadly lost his bonus point late on too. He lost a valuable recovery point (-1bps) which ultimately dropped him below the previous tie with Van Hecke.
Now, Gabriel of course hit DEFCON late last night! He gained a clearance in the update, which had no implications on the bonus.
David Raya narrowly missed out on a bonus point. His pass stats are far inferior to his team mates, he was 6 passes short from gaining a bonus point and tying Gabriel in the bps.
