📌 COURT UPDATE Bail for Emmanuel Sitima has been denied. The presiding magistrate justified the ruling by alleging he is a flight risk likely to abscond. The trial is now scheduled to commence on 24 April. Bail is a fundamental right. The baseless reasoning used to deny our fellow comrades release is nothing but a political pretext to keep them languishing in remand. We reject this injustice outright. We demand: 1. the immediate and unconditional release of Emmanuel Sitima and all detained comrades. 2. an end to the arbitrary denial of bail and the weaponization of the courts to silence dissent. The duo wants the High Court to order Parliament to conduct fresh, safe & inclusive public hearings.
