@trwill1957 At first glance I thought the Sex Pistols were the backup band for Merle. Now that’d be some fun

Her dad made her film the dealership promo and she delivered the most honest sales pitch in history:
“This is one of the cars we have. It’s nice… I guess.”
“This is Carl’s desk. He’ll help you buy a car. I guess.”
“I guess you can come buy a car from us if you want.”
Maria invented anti-hype marketing. Legend. 😂

My wife wanted to stop at @bucees. At first, I didn’t understand her excitement. She said she saw posts about it on Instagram.
When we pulled up, I started to get a sense of why. There were lines upon lines of gas pumps.
We went in, and it was like walking into a mall. I was impressed.
My wife forced everybody to go to the bathroom. I didn’t bother. They came out and said I had to go. I thought it was weird. But she insisted I must go. My kids joined her in encouraging me to go, too. I finally gave in.
As I walked through the entrance, I swear it felt like stepping into a 5 ⭐️ hotel lobby or a military museum. Once I walked into the actual bathroom, I finally understood the hype around @bucees. It felt like one of those exclusive clubs you see only in movies. If it weren’t for the actual urinal being there, I would have mistaken it for a living room. I know I’m exposing that I didn't come from money, but @bucees lived up to the hype.

🚨 Ohio could become the FIRST state in America to abolish property taxes entirely.
A grassroots group led by Brian Massie and Leonard Gilbert is collecting signatures for a constitutional amendment to eliminate all residential and commercial property taxes — and put it on the November ballot.
What started as protecting seniors from being taxed out of their lifelong homes has exploded into a statewide movement after lawmakers refused to even meet with them.
Massie says his own taxes jumped 40% in 10 years.
Gilbert hears daily from seniors on fixed incomes watching their bills skyrocket.
They need ~413,000+ valid signatures by July to qualify. (They’re aiming higher for a cushion.)
Opponents warn it would blow a $24 billion hole in the state budget — threatening schools, police, fire, EMS, and rural services.
Gov. DeWine floated raising the sales tax to 18-20% to fill the gap.
Supporters fire back: Cut spending first. No new taxes. Lawmakers get a full year to reform before collections stop.
This could be one of Ohio’s biggest ballot fights in decades.
Would you vote to end property taxes?

Texas Cowgirls Gentlemen’s Club, Houston, Texas (1981).
In Houston’s nightlife mirrored the city’s oil-boom confidence and rapid growth. Texas Cowgirls Gentlemen’s Club stood as a symbol of the era’s bold entertainment culture. Neon lights and eye-catching signage defined the streetscape after dark. Such venues catered to energy workers, executives, and visitors drawn by Houston’s prosperity. The early 1980s brought looser social attitudes alongside economic ambition. Nightlife districts expanded as disposable income increased. These clubs often became landmarks within their neighborhoods. Public debate about morality and urban culture also grew during this time. Many similar establishments have since vanished. This image preserves a candid slice of Houston’s social history.

@CaliRN619 @maggiewise111 If there was a brainwashing drug I must’ve treated it the same as the Covid jab

My Boomer Auntie, who is a very loving and kind hearted person is a Democrat that hates Trump and MAGA with a passion and attended a recent #NoKings rally.
To her, loving people means letting illegals stay, increasing food stamps/welfare, giving tax dollars to poor countries, and taxing the “rich” to fund all programs.
When I try to explain to her how her ideals actually hurt people, she dismisses it as right wing propaganda. No amount of evidence or reasoning will persuade her to consider any other viewpoint.
I’m convinced there was some sort of brainwashing drug that was administered to Boomers and activated during COVID. Either that or there was something seriously wrong with their LSD supply.
