@Cali28fornia Where you ought to look, Olivia, is to the 1985 Camarena murder case. There are many parallels to what happened here...including US political reluctance to crack down. The story is dramatized in Narcos, but is reported thoroughly and well in Elaine Shannon’s book, Desperados.
