Sometimes mathematical patterns feel so deeply satisfying that they seem to affirm Galileo’s belief that God has written the universe in language of mathematics.

A man spends 50 years teaching at MIT. He knows his time is running out. So he records one last lecture — everything he knows, distilled into a single hour. He died 5 months later. This is that lecture. The most important hour you'll watch this week. 👇 Bookmark it for later

The "Divisible by 3" trick is my favorite, because it also works as an axiom for "Divisible by 6" and "Divisible by 9". 🤩 My explanation for why this isn't more prominent in school curriculums is because of one of the education system's main failures: a focus on "testable" material, simply because "testable" material is convenient for the system. This fail is colossal because it prioritizes the system itself over the actual education of students 😐

Great learning often begins with confusion, not clarity. Richard Feynman, one of the most brilliant physicists of the modern age, had a special gift—he could explain complex ideas in simple words. But this ability did not come easily. It was built through years of struggle, curiosity, and patience. When he was young, Feynman tried to read The Principles of Quantum Mechanics by Paul Dirac. This book is famously difficult, even for trained scientists. At first, Feynman understood almost nothing. The ideas were too advanced, the language too dense. Many people would have given up. But he didn’t. Instead, he kept reading. Slowly. Patiently. He returned to the same pages again and again, thinking deeply, asking questions, and trying to make sense of what seemed impossible. It was frustrating, but he accepted that frustration as part of the journey. This is something many people misunderstand about learning. Real learning is not always comfortable. It often feels confusing and difficult. But that struggle is what helps your brain grow. When you challenge yourself with ideas slightly above your level, you train your mind to think in new and powerful ways. Years later, Feynman became famous for explaining physics clearly to everyone. His lectures, collected in Six Easy Pieces, are known around the world for their simplicity and beauty. But that clarity was not magic—it was earned through years of hard thinking and persistence. The lesson is simple: don’t run away from difficulty. Embrace it. When something feels hard, it means you are learning. Stay with it, and over time, what once seemed impossible will start to make sense.
