On 21 March, a Derbyshire fire engine was involved in a single vehicle collision. As previously reported, 1 firefighter was seriously injured & 4 others sustained minor injuries. The family of the injured firefighter have now released a statement: ow.ly/xsVR50NsT3S

Lastnight we said a goodbye to FF Greg Powell after 36 years and 9 months of service to Wirksworth and the surrounding area @DerbyshireFRS. We wish him a very happy and healthy retirement. Thank you Greg!

Sunday evening the stop message went in for Win Hill. This incident lasted 6 days and took a lot of resources away from the community. Well done to all the firefighters involved, control staff and partner agencies. All this was because of a camp stove @DerbyshireFRS #bemooraware
