I don’t think they want, or wanted maybe is more current, to fire him. But, man, it looks like a break is best for all involved. A franchise known for wanting to outsmart the league would seem prone to try to leverage that resource. Particularly in a seemingly weak hiring cycle.

1st, I don’t know the rules. Gruden was traded. I believe others were as well, but terms and contract years and other details, I’m not familiar with, particularly in the modern NFL. The national media says 2x COTY, will be in demand. Could they move him rather than fire him?
