@DJSnM You are thinking inside the box. With ground based fusion power, you could create extraordinary charged systems of capacitors/batteries of new technology. Charge the planes then fly. Also, with that power we can scrub and clean the atmosphere of carbon! 😎

It occurs to me that even if we developed viable fusion power tomorrow using deuterium-tritium we'd still see planes flying burning jet fuel. The amount of high energy neutron radiation from a reaction needed to keep a jet plane flying would require so much shielding. In the 1950's a 3MW airborne nuclear reactor was demonstrated, the cockpit required 12 tons of shielding. The engines on an A380 generate over 200 megawatts, and Fusion generates 4 times as many neutrons compared to a fission reaction. Makes me wonder what home application would need the 1.21GW that a MrFusion could generate.

I test AI systems by using Space Pope of EVE Online. In the early days it was hilarious how wrong it was. Now it is getting better. Today I had an argument with AI and TLDR: I won. hahahah At least it sees hoe EVE Online is unique in it's player participation. #EVEOnline
