The first Zelda I really got into was Links Awakening on the Game Boy. Then I went astray and didn’t play much until Wind Waker, which I adored. (The open world was awesome) So seeing Ocarina Of Time is a good opportunity for me to visit a classic again.

A remake for Zelda: Ocarina Of Time has been tipped for later this year(?). A remake - not a remaster. Be interesting to see how they do it.

New RPG Maker announced focusing on 2.5 HD. Looks interesting. Could be built on the Godot engine maybe? Too early to tell whether it’s any good. I quite like the art style though I’d replace the default assets of course. Of course, engine only as good as your game design

We tested on this big tv too. Bit of input lag from the laptop to the tv but otherwise it looked good.

Today was a big playtesting day for Merchant Legends. I sat beside a real playtester and watched for 2 hours. And... it was a success! Main takeaway is that my game is HUGE, so I need to make sure players don't feel overwhelmed. A bit more signposting here and there. Releived.

The problem with Wind and Waves is that Pokemon games dropped the ball for too many titles now. Even the flashy trailer fails to excite. (I’ll still buy it day one though 😂🤦🏻 yes I am the problem)

It takes around 8-10 minutes to get through the prologue in Merchant Legends. For such a mammoth RPG (tens of hours long), I think 8-10 minutes is fast… #gamedev #PCGamer #rpg

i was lookin at pokemon-style tiles and man they look like they'd be juicy to bite into minecraft-style. imagine your little guy grinding these down and down and down, collecting resources and uncovering fossil monsters to tame.
