The State of the State has begun!

During yesterday's House session, @MiaForRep honored the late Alan Hassenfeld, a prominent businessman and philanthropist, past Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Emeritus of Hasbro Toys, which had been founded by his family in 1923. During his tenure as Chairman, Mr. Hassenfeld led the company through years of substantial growth. As Rep. Ackerman noted, "while Hasbro was one of the state's leading employers for decades, we also honor Mr. Hassenfeld as one of the state's leading philanthropists. He left an enduring impact on our state." Speaker @JoeShekarchi said "Alan Hassenfeld was a dear friend and he is sorely missed. He used his success for his philanthropic efforts throughout Rhode Island and throughout the country....I miss my friend Alan." Rep.
