Good morning! Most are in the 40s this morning and there are light showers across the western half of SNE. Two big weather stories to talk about: 1) Heavy rain for parts of SNE tomorrow; and 2) A big warm-up and taste of summer for this weekend into next week. 🌧️ First let’s discuss the rain: A complex set up with a weak surface low and a stronger upper level low over the Great Lakes with a disturbance near the SE US that will form low pressure over the Atlantic. The ocean low stays well offshore but pulls in some of the energy from the inland low while the upper level low rotates through the area tomorrow and Friday. This translates to unsettled with periods of rain the next few days. Today, despite these morning showers, it should be mostly dry as the main activity stays north and west. Thursday continues to be the wettest day with periods of rain all day, some heavy with an embedded thunderstorm possible. It now looks like there may be a heavier swath of rain across eastern areas where 1-2”+ of rain is likely…and another one west…somewhere in CT to W MA with 1”+. In between those heavier areas, there may be a dry slot rip off zone somewhere near southern or SE CT and possibly into SW RI where 0.50” or less of rain falls. Friday, leftover showers taper down during the morning with at least partial sun returning during the afternoon. 📈🌡️ Now to the big warmup: Saturday looks spectacular as we transition into a milder pattern. A few inland spots may touch 80° with low dew points. Just perfect. Sunday and Monday warmer with some mid 80s possible…Sunday will have a touch of humidity in the air but not bad with dew points around 60°. Tuesday…a couple inland spots may hit 90° with moderate humidity possible. Of course it’s much cooler at the beaches. Quite the change from the pattern we’ve been in!

Thanks so much for sharing it… I figured it was from the recordings but I was excited envisioning it as a show and would be like a dream come true for me to hear this, so I’m actually going to blow it up and have it framed in my studio!!!! Would love to hear this moment as I’ve never heard Red Glare or Bullets and Rum performed live by DMB. Haunted Hollow is full of the most beautiful and attentive ghosts who love listening to loud music.
