So just finished Sun Belt media with @GSAthletics_FB and @GSCoachHelton will post when video is available I asked about poor clock management end of game he didn’t address if he agreed with play calls said they needed 2 scores still had 3 TOs so that why the FG from the 3. said switching QBs took more time than they wanted I also asked about overall offense second half didn’t get an answer (I did ask 3 questions and he took a long time answering or rather recapping the plays) and asked if he planned to step in on either side of the ball and he said he felt the coordinators were doing a good job and he would not. Our next media availability is next Monday.

I will never understand Georgia Southern fans. You trash a coach who has dumped 100k of his own money into your program. You will never find a coach better than Helton for that program. You aren’t UGA or Bama.

@GS_NickB @GSRANGER11B1V I guess he doesn't remember coastal, app and UL T-25 teams from 18-20. Jmu solid sure but let's not get carried away if anything will change year to year. Look at retooled marshall this year, coastal down, who knows week 1 didn't do us many favors

@dougjreynolds @GS_NickB I get that but also recruiting is so much more short term with portal and NIL the old days of recruiting freshman and them staying 4-5 years is highly unlikely especially at a G5. They do well they leave, they don't do well they leave and most of the time we have little control

@MikeRedding8 @GS_NickB If you think CH is the guy for the immediate future (as this admin clearly does), then:
1. Not extending would be a recruiting nightmare. Try to get kids to come to a school where HC is on a 1-year deal..
2. If he leaves, then we would get a healthy buyout to go get the next HC

@dougjreynolds @GS_NickB Why woudl you extend a coach that has won 20 games and lost 20. I'm afraid the new administration doesn't understand the standard of Ga Southern football. They talk a big talk but then go on to the next job and we're here left to clean it up and fiscally pay for it

@SWAT_GSU @GSouthern_Fball Yeah I’ve never been more excited about a group of GS WRs. We’ve always had talent, but we’ve never really had size. Generally more “shifty” type players that are known for slot-style play. I’m pumped to watch the portal guys this year and obviously Dallas and Cobb.
