Fun start for our new computer science course! Students are using the engineering design process to build a structure out of newspaper and masking tape. We had a competition to see which structure could support the most books!

Ts shared how these DTGs, along with the related EUs and EQs are alive in the their classrooms, lessons, and units. We created a cafe to make it inviting, special, and fun.

Gather more evidence of learning than you need. Don’t grade it all. Save some for backups, as needed. We make missing assignments a bigger deal than they should be. They indicate a barrier, either behavioral or circumstances. They don’t indicate any level of learning.

Just started this conversation @ district level -- what has changed in Teaching and Learning...and what of those changes will stay...we can't possibly return to "old ways" when we already know what lies around the corner. Doing so would be irresponsible.
