Hot off the press. This paper in Physics of Fluids by my former PhD student and current PDF @ontariotech_u investigates how acoustic resonance is excited in tube arrays with different compactness.

Today we say goodbye to Haeyoon Kim, our Mitacs intern, who spent 12 weeks in my lab @ontariotech_u working on energy harvesting from flow-induced vibration. Thank you, Haeyoon, for your great work, and thanks to Rasha for the treats!

Check out our recent paper from the @MohanyLab on the spinning dynamics of self-excited azimuthal #acoustic modes in cavities. This is an issue in combustors and pipelines that could lead to their #failure. The paper is published in Physics of Fluids.
