As an athletic director and S&C coach at the high school and college levels, I was certainly annoyed plenty of times by private coaches. Now that I’ve pivoted, I want to come up with a solution because I understand that athletes will look for extra work… it’s just the reality!

Coach Ian Danney here: “But at some point in time, if the car is not right..if the brakes aren’t quite right, you don’t have the right tires, transmission’s good, you’re lacking horsepower…you can only do so much with that car, no matter how good your skills are.” “If I’m doing that exercise to be a better football player, there’s a limit to how much that exercise actually helps me, so you have to manage that. You only have so much energy that you have in your whole training.”

Having been in the public eye for a while, one thing that really frustrates me is when ppl simply get mad when critiqued without listening and asking is there some validity to the critique! I understand we all want the world to think we are perfect - shoot I wanted that also - BUT I also realized very early on that most of what I’ve learned (some things came from personal experience) was from someone else! So when I stop listening or considering what’s being said about me, especially when it wasn’t favorable, I stop learning! I don’t post or respond on here to call ppl idiots or say they are no good at what they do, I respond out of conviction & with a heart to challenge & teach where applicable! I always have a WHY behind my comments & usually add video evidence! I will NEVER post to offend or attack someone, so please if you are a player, coach or personality I’m addressing… I’m for you, not against, & want to come to the best conclusion to help you succeed! That will ALWAYS be my only intention!! Carry on & have an awesome day!!
