@CasFarmerCD @agronomybrady Currently in our area if not mining and like all trades depends on experience it ranges from $30-55. I’ve been a mechanic for close to 20 years and never worked anywhere that provided my tools except for specialty tooling.

@Mortlock33 @agronomybrady I don't employ any trade qualified mechanics, but I'm not sure $40/hr byo tools for a qualified mechanic in Western Australia is on the money, or even close.

OK croppers - biggest reasons to use GPS guidance in machinery?

Anyone wrecking a John Deere 8450 with a PTO? Need the whole PTO shaft this one has snapped at the 1000 spline end at the output seal.

Well abit of farming this morning then onto this Goldacres 6036 that had GPS steering issues. Hopefully all sorted now and ready to roll for sowing.

Have tomorrow free from a cancellation if anyone has mechanical needs in around Wagga, Lockhart, Coolamon, Temora, Griffith essentially southern Riverina. 2 mechanics available Truck, Ag, Earthmoving. Otherwise we are going farming for the day 😂

@dburner996 @LinkBrokering Nope it’s been a combination of things that have gotten us to this point to be honest. Not really anyone thing but multiple that’s caused it. Just dealing with the consequences now.

Question for the masses 500T twister with around 350T of Barley in it and all bottom hoppers are block anyone had success of unblocking?

@LinkBrokering Yea newer twisters got the flighting out but need to work out best way to unblock the bottom. Newer twisters don’t have a inspection hole behind the door like the older ones so if we vac it we will have to cut a hole 🤦

@Mortlock33 Are they Twisters? They sweated and clumps blocked the centre empty slide. Had to suck it out with a vac. Only other way is to try use poly pipe to dislodge it. And that’s only if you can get the flighting out of the tube ok.
