In forest school this week some of us planted sunflower seeds and others created bird feeders. Keep an eye on how our sunflowers grow outside @MrsFosterTweets classroom 🌻 🌻

Tonight in forest school, we planted seeds and made some bird feeders. They all did amazing and hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will see some beautiful flowers 🌺 thanks again for all the staff that helped out @MrsFosterTweets

Year 2 Blue have enjoyed recapping continents in Geography, ask us what the 7 continents are! In Science, we explored the different types of seeds/bulbs and then planted some beans @MrsFosterTweets

In forest school club today, we did our very own clay hedgehogs. We collected different leaves, twigs and whatever led we could find to represent the spikes and the ears. It was loads of fun. Thank you for all staff members that came to help out 🌿🌱🌳🌳

Year 2 have really enjoyed making kites and trying them out in this lovely weather 🪁 🪁 ☀️ we will be writing our own instructions on how to make a kite @mesne_lea @Mrs_Stott1

A polite reminder that as it is getting warmer, please apply suncream before school and send caps in for break time. This is really important for N and R, as they are outside even more. If your child needs it reapplying, please send sun cream to school with their name on it.

Year 2 have started to learn how to tell the time. 🕰️ We enjoyed our lesson practising o’clock and half past each hour and then we tested our partners #determination #Resilience

Year 2 have had the most amazing day @McrMuseum! They have explored reptile habitats, different cultures, archaeology, Ancient Egypt and...dinosaurs! They learnt so much and sketched and noted down the artefacts that interested them the most! @Mrs_Stott1 @MrsFosterTweets

This week, Year 2 have made pinch pots in art. We learnt how to join pieces of clay together by scoring and then using slip @MrsFosterTweets

Year 2 Blue had loads of fun investigating materials in our Science lesson this week. We knew wooden stick and elastic bands were the best materials to use to make a catapult. @MrsFosterTweets
