I keep seeing stories of long division not being taught so is this happening in a specific state? Reading the Common Core State Standards, it talks about dividing by place value in 4th and 5th (implies long division), "standard algorithm" in 6th (implies long division), and explicitly says "long division" in 7th grade so it should still be taught in those states.

Looks like we’re officially a Hokie family! Jackson has been awarded a full scholarship to Virginia Tech’s Master’s in Political Science program, and we couldn’t be more proud. We’re excited that he’ll be at an ACC school and staying close to home!

I really believe if you give T a job to do, he’ll find a way to be great at it. The only downside of being on the floor all day was I didn’t get to listen to him and Shane’s broadcast. Loved seeing him paired with incredible broadcasters like Sparks and Shawn Kenney this year.
