Last week, we each wrote one kind thing about everyone in our class. Today we created kindness trees with all of the kind things our peers had to say about us!🎄

This morning, we decorated bats and turned them into straw rockets so they could fly🦇 Check them out! 🚀

This week we learned about processed and unprocessed food! We sorted them into the correct categories using pictures of food from grocery store flyers🍊🥕🥗🍔🍰

As our final project for our structures unit, we built bridges and tested them to see how strong they are! Check out our creations (see comments for all)!

This week we created our own monsters, wrote a descriptive paragraph about them and then got to build them with play dough!

To start our descriptive writing unit, we listened to two different paragraphs and drew the monster being described. Our drawings were much closer to the original when listening to the detailed paragraph! We learned how important it is to add detail to our writing!

This week we’ve been learning about the impact of residential schools. For #OrangeShirtDay we wrote words on our shirts for how children should feel at school🧡 We remember and honour today and every day. #EveryChildMatters

Today we showed our knowledge of what makes a structure stable by building towers using Lego, wooden blocks and cards! We also tested the stability of our structures to see if they could withstand the force of wind 💨🗼

We worked on a STEM challenge today…. Building a table using only paper and tape! Our structures were strong, stable, and able to hold a load!
