Snow day = snow person contest on grade 8. Our theme was a "snowman on vacation" aka it's like snow on the beach 🎶

Grade 6-8 students on our leadership team have started to do our announcements, and every day my class stands around the speaker to listen, and it makes my heart happy to see them being so supportive and excited for their peers @es_barrie

Getting ready to draw real world objects to scale

Commemorating the lives of far too many 2-Spirit, trans, and non-binary community members lost to transphobia, violence, hate crimes, depression and COVID-19. These losses and impacts are felt deeply in our communities, our neighbourhoods, nations, and across the world #TDoR2022

We are launching our spooky narrative writing. Students are exploring mentor texts to find descriptive writing. Next we are going to sort the sticky notes into categories and make anchor charts !

Watched #ReturningHome on crave tonight. I always remind my students that you cannot have reconciliation without the truth. This documentary is a great opportunity to listen and learn. I recommend watching it this weekend
