@jwlpc Older guard race fans like you + I are dying every day. To survive, this sport must compete with other forms of entertainment. I DO like stages; makes drivers race all race long + playoffs make the last 1/2 of the year more interesting. Don't like races end w/3 dvrs on lead lap.

@NickBromberg How many seats do you think went empty? 30k? 40k? Versus 4 million fans who watched via TV. And 2/3's of today's NASCAR fans watch races via streaming video which isn't included in TV ratings. So, 12 million viewers for one race is how they can claim everything is okay. Got it?

Kyle Larson's Kansas win in front of a bunch of empty seats exemplifies NASCAR's fundamental problem: If the stands are half-full at NASCAR's best track, how can the sanctioning body claim everything is OK?

@nascar_opinion These folks don't seem to understand runoff water issues + ordinances. A racetrack covers acres of land with pavement. Pavement that does not absorb rainwater. TMS isn't like CMS, they'd have to add a retention pond to capture runoff water. Lake Gossage? @TXMotorSpeedway #Eddie

This gotta be the only generation of race fan I know that would recommend moving the grass instead of expecting drivers to not hit grass that's been there for over 2 decades.
