Lock 53 / Bridge 100 Leeds & Liverpool canal, Blackburn
Not sure if it's your responsibility or @unitedutilities or @EnvAgency but the pipe appears to be leaking raw sewage into the canal. As the lock is closed next week, could this get fixed please?
@CRTNorthWest@CRTContactUs We do understand that things break at inconvenient times, but it's infuriating when staff on the ground are aware of stoppages but boaters subscribed to the stoppages emails aren't told.
They are helpful notices when they arrive!

A passing boater told us this bridge was closed two days ago.
There is still no stoppage notice for a broken asset after 48 hours on what is likely to be the busiest boating weekend of the year.
It's simply not acceptable communication.
@CRTNorthWest@CRTContactUs Yes, we spotted the notice yesterday and were waiting at the bridge when the local team turned up at noon as promised to return through it.
Thanks again to Paul and Karl for their help.
The ducks were dropped off the bridge and then started drifting away from the finish line, so the organisers have moved the finish line to the other side. Much to the amusement of the spectators!
Thanks to the local-ish team we got through after just over an hour. A chap from Litherland and a chap from Wiga drove out to operate the bridge for us, so massive thanks to them, but I'm sure a timely communication would have been cheaper than two vans driving 20 miles each ...
Yes, I have called the out of hours number and someone is supposed to be coming to operate the bridge.
That'll do for me today, but the lack of communication with customers is simply not good enough. Why can't the local team on call issue stoppage notices?
@CRTContactUs@CRTNorthWest At the very least issue a stoppage notice about it not being in use and remove the sign advertising it if it's not getting switched back on.

Are there any plans to provide another water point at the bottom of Wigan locks? The one that is signposted there has been switched off since before the hub buildings were sold.

This is a photo of the not working lights in the toilet at Burscough Services.
Losing the bins was annoying enough, but no light in the loo makes it an inconvenient convenience!
@tidyboiler@CRTNorthWest@CRTContactUs Alan it's fine. Original plan was to stop in this pub but the sun was shining for the only day this week so we carried on. We just had to go through the previous lock both ways.
