I Disagree. A Vietnamese and Japanese person share broad "Asianness" (rice-heavy diets, Buddhist influences), but nobody pretends they have the same culture or identity. Same with European groups. German ≠ Italian ≠ English. Those are real, distinct heritages. In the US many white Americans lost those specific roots through assimilation and just default to "white" as the uniting factor instead of celebrating (or even remembering) their actual ethnic customs and histories. Whiteness isn't a rich standalone "culture", and the same goes for Hispanics. “Whiteness” is often what’s left when the particular stuff fades if that makes sense.

@Bubblebathgirl So, she says being German, Italian and English is real culture but whiteness is imaginary. She does know those countries are mostly white, doesn't she? Either her brain constantly malfunctions or she can not repeat what her handlers are telling her in her earpiece.

Again, there’s no such thing as a “Hispanic culture”, there’s Mexican culture and Colombian culture for instance. They share some similarities, the biggest being they share the same common language (Spanish), but they themselves don’t embrace a “Hispanic” culture, if not, they tie their cultural identities to their nation’s history, custom and traditions… not so much on the Hispanic umbrella term popularized by the US.
