Florida State has announced plans to retire Charlie Ward’s basketball jersey on October 26th, prior to the Seminoles’ basketball exhibition against FAMU. The 1993 Heisman winner and 1994 NBA 1st round draft pick is now the head basketball coach at FAMU, entering his 1st year. He is set to become the 1st FSU student-athlete to have a number retired in both football (17) and basketball (12). (via @Seminoles)
