I am a PhD looking for a place to do my abroad period. Specifically, I am looking for a Lab in Europe, including UK, where the effect of social media use is studied through psycological/neuroscientific tools. Any hints? @PhDVoice

@AnneliJefferson Why do I say so? Bc treatment allows escaping a brain-centred take. Do we want to treat only the brain, or maybe also the ways a subject attunes to the environment? Should the illness be limited to the brain? Or embedded and extended? This clearly speaks against reductionism!

In other words, how does it change the way a patient is treated if we conceptualize his/her situation as brain vs mental disorders? Does it change at all?

This is basically a way to check "how well am I doing?". In Active Inference terms could be seen as a way of tracking my Error Dynamics. I can definitely tolerate some errors, some might even be warranted, but I want to know the ones I can avoid! Control your free energy 🕵️

How much time am I dedicating to what during my PhD? 🤔 To start well this year I created my own accountability sheets. I need to know weekly and monthly how much I am working on what!

@GalleseVittorio This is why it's important to separate AIF from computation, people don't have to buy both. The more we stress that the more it can work. Instrumentalism could be a nice way out, we all can work to make it more appealing!
