Alles, was in unserem Land passiert, ist, dass jemand zwei Kilometer Straße absperrt, einen Bagger parkt und dann ein Jahr später damit begonnen wird, für die nächsten 20 Jahre lang fünf Kilometer Autobahn zu bauen. Wir sind immer noch zu doof, einen Zug, der buchstäblich von A nach B auf Schienen und ohne Konkurrenzverkehr fährt, in der Geschwindigkeit fahren zu lassen, dass er pünktlich kommt. Das Internet ist immer noch auf Dritte-Welt-Land-Niveau. Die Bundesregierung kann für ein komplettes Jahr nicht einen einzigen Arbeitsnachweis vorweisen, bei dem sie irgendetwas Sinnvolles getan haben. Gravity cannot be described by gauge force in the same way with todays knowledge. Therefore there is no unified theory for all fundamental forces in the standard model of physics today. In string theory, all gauge forces (including electromagnetism) arise from the geometry and topology of extra dimensions. But unfortunately the string theory was never proven by experiments, so today we don't know if that theory really describes the reality. This is the situation in physics today in a nutshell. A breakthrough in understanding and unifying all four fundamental forces will certainly lead to machines that can manipulate (and produce) gravity fields and that would lead e.g. to completely different automotive vehicles (ships, cars, spaceships, ...). The world would look completely different than today.

If gravity is the curvature of spacetime, is electromagnetism the curvature of some other dimension? That question, asked seriously, is basically the origin story of string theory.
