@jakealdacoffey Jake, many people are writing it, but I will say it too. Your grandpa is such a core part of my childhood…and into adulthood through all sorts of other ventures. I just want to say “thank-you” to him: and happy birthday!

My grandpa is really touched by all the love he’s gotten today. We had a lowkey night celebrating his 90th birthday, which was full of laughs. After dinner, we went home and ate rum cake a friend of his baked. A perfect end to the night.

Well I'm 62 today. When I was 12 my Big Sister said I should grow up and stop drawing Daleks & making stuff out of rubbish (Blue Peter style). 50 years on have two homemade full size Daleks, dress as a Knight, Judge Dredd & still making sci fi & medieval props out of rubbish!

@80s_Kidz On a school trip … arrived in London just as the hurricane hit… chaos trying to get to and from Gatwick.

37 years ago today, October 15th, 1987. The Great Hurricane struck. Michael Fish said during a forecast: "Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way. Well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!" 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cape Town Waterfront on a warm evening. I know it's touristy and you pay for it but what an absolutely great atmosphere. And it's still about a third the price of Paris or London. What a place.

I think I have been trampled by a horse. Feel as rough as a badger's bottom, sick as a dog. But happy as a puppy that I finally got my cyst removed. Getting my stiches out next week. They look like cheap halloween make up. But I feel them every time I cough. But I'm on the mend!
