Yes, but the majority of asylum seekers from North Africa or the Middle East are not skilled workers and not compatible / willing to integrate with our society. We need skilled migrants who come here legally and are law-abiding - 100% agree with that. If you flee from war and then commit crimes, you are out. If you seek asylum because you cannot get a visa otherwise, it must be temporary... every sane country is doing that but as soon as Germany wants to deport criminals, we are seen as Nazis because of our terrible past.

@NewPostStation @glubbbjoe @wintrjen Asylum can be temporary, yes. But blanket deportations are illegal and unrealistic. Germany also depends on migration economically. An aging population and labor shortages make this a structural need, not a preference.

No one wants millions of foreign cultures in their country... simple as that. Nothing racist about that.

Well, I care about migration. I don't like the crime in our cities and I want undocumented "migrants" asylum seekers out. We need to be more attractive for real migrants and sort out the criminals... reading through the already glossed over crime stats, it is horrible what Merkel & Co. did to our country.

I don’t understand why Merz gets so much hate. He wants to cut red tape, admits Germany made a mistake with nuclear, wants to make Germany business friendly and occasionally chides Israel. Why is he disliked so much? Can someone, especially German, explain?
