@LoudOutside Love Eggs Benedict for special breakfasts, not seen it served like this. The hollandaise needs to be kept warm, and part of the dish is to cut the poached eggs, they mixing down the food layers. I would however have eaten, paid, tipped and left. There are other places next time.

Woman orders salmon eggs benedict at a brunch spot but complains the dish is "completely wrong" because one egg slid off the salmon and the hollandaise was on the side. She starts filming and demands a manager — and ends up being asked to leave

@CJQtweet @TheEXECUTlONER_ Privately owned by the HOA. I asked them about the 72 hours and towing and was told the police do not like to come behind our gates. Trying to get on the agenda to talk about parking and setting time limits. I had a car sit in front of my house for over three days last December.

@NotLostWanderer @TheEXECUTlONER_ Is the road public or is it privately owned by the HOA. If public, then anybody can lawfully park there.

This man lives in an HOA community. He was fined $1,400 dollars for parking his $90K pickup truck in his driveway. There is an HOA rule in that community that does not allow you to park your truck in the driveway. You have to park it in the garage. You can park any car in the driveway but not a truck. So, he paid his $1,400 dollar fine in coins which he delivered to the HOA’s President, in buckets. I guess you should really look at the rules before you buy a house in an HOA community. Have you ever heard of an HOA having a rule of not being able to park your pickup truck in your own driveway? What would you do?

@Oldtimers365 Being in first grade and the teacher walking in and telling us to all go home. President JFK had been shot and killed. I lived three short blocks from the school, but my mom was not home. I was six years old. A different time. It was a sad and scary day.

@NotLostWanderer @TheEXECUTlONER_ That’s why the city should have codes. If someone isn’t taking care of their property. Fine them. Because it decreases the property value of their neighbors.

I am living in my first HOA ever. From what I have seen, they do not really enforce much. My backyard facing neighbor planted five huge trees right up close to the brick wall and you can't do that. I just took pics, filed them for if they damage the wall eventually and moved on. I follow the rules myself. The neighborhood stays nice. I sold a house in California not HOA three years ago. What a mess it was. Next door took the bark off their tree and painted rainbows on the bare trunk. Parked an old RV in their driveway so they had little other parking. House paint peeling, their grass died. It was tough. I have few answers. I just want the space in front of my house to be available to the gardeners, delivery, friends, family, and others. The hostility in this thread is sort of hard. I have never been someone who treats others badly.

No, it is gated and the HOA maintains it all. Really new community as well. I do pay for the sewer to the city however. And wow... there are a lot of other fees as well. I am 50/50 on HOA's at this point. But I am all in on being kind and considerate to neighbors. As I wrote in this thread, last Christmas someone parked and left a car over the holiday for almost four days. The city allows 72 hours. Obviously this is a REALLY sore subject from any angle. Mine is I have people who come to work on the house etc. We do have street cleaners if you mean for maintenance, but no signs to vacate any parking for them. Not yet.

We have come to a point where Americans are begging for fair elections and the government officials who are suppose to represent us are giving us all the middle finger. Our forefathers would be disgusted.

@SGTWipper1Each Such a funny memory. I served in the '80's, got out, married and was buying a first home. I am a lady, and the agent kept giving my husband the paperwork to sign, but it was using my GI. No... I am the vet. It was sort of funny, but telling. We always laugh over it.

As a Veteran, have you used your GI Bill? If not, what's stopping you?

My city has laws for 72 hours. My HOA has not established that. This just makes me want to not even talk anymore. Take care.

I went to the shelter that Saturday with a clear plan already in place. I had picked out my dog online — a strong, handsome Pitbull mix with gentle, expressive eyes. I’d even started calling him Bruno before meeting him. In my mind, it all seemed simple. The kennel door would open, he’d come straight to me with his tail wagging, and we’d head home together. I was already picturing hikes and having a loyal companion by my side. But when the volunteer opened the gate, nothing went the way I imagined. Bruno didn’t move. No wagging tail, no excitement. He just stood there on the concrete, let out a quiet, uncertain sound, and lowered his head. Confused, I stepped closer. “Come on, buddy,” I said softly, holding out the leash. He glanced at me for a moment, then looked past me. When I followed his gaze, I saw a tiny mixed-breed puppy tucked into the corner, trying to make himself invisible. The little pup, maybe eight weeks old, was shaking. His eyes were locked on Bruno — and Bruno was watching him just as intently. That’s when it clicked. They weren’t just sharing a space. They were each other’s comfort. In a loud, overwhelming shelter full of barking dogs, they had found a sense of peace in one another. Bruno wasn’t being stubborn. He just didn’t want to leave his friend behind. Without a single sound, he made it clear — he wasn’t going anywhere alone. At that point, it didn’t feel like a choice anymore. It felt like the only thing to do. I turned to the staff, took a breath, and asked, “Is it possible to adopt both of them?” The volunteer smiled and said they had been hoping someone would. The two of them slept curled up together every night. After the paperwork was done and everything was finalized, they walked out of the shelter side by side, staying close, just like they were always meant to.

Yep. Overflow for parties and such is definitely always understandable. Last Christmas someone from a big party took the spot in front of my house for over three days without moving. In my city 72 hours is the length of time you can do that. We all have two car garages and two vehicle driveways with one spot out front. We are behind gates so that is a factor. I never park in front of other people's houses. Touchy subject you can tell from the responses here.

I see a lot of cranky big accounts lately, so here is some advice: Follow back your followers. Respond to their comments. You are constantly talking about your reach and engagements but you don’t engage. Try it sometime.

@cecegkh This is ridiculous. If your wife is ill and you are worried about germs stay home. Go pick up the food, bring it to her, and enjoy on your patio. 🙄 No brainer. They actually are in a fast food restaurant...

An elderly man walked up to a 3-year-old little girl at Chick-fil-A, started scolding her for coughing, and demanded she wear a mask… in the play area. (April 24, 2026) The mom recorded the whole confrontation. The man wouldn’t back off even after being told to leave the child alone. Maybe don’t take your wife to Chick-fil-a if she’s sick and shouldn’t be around germs. I can assure you that nobody is going to approach my child and demand that she does anything. Once I’ve asked you to back up and you don’t, the situation will be handled. Ho would you have handled this situation?

@TrumpGirlLove So I was a young child in the 1960's so I lived through each. And each decade presented it's own issues and gifts from my POV. But there are no artists now like there was then that I can see. Recently I just sort of feel grateful for all of my life, even the sticky times. 😊
