I have a million thoughts on the incident mentioned in the article but most of them have been said already by others.
What I found really beautiful despite that mess was this answer by Lando Norris about being a role model for speaking up about mental health.

Donald McRae@donaldgmcrae
I interviewed Lando Norris and the world champion was open, honest and articulate. And then his management stepped in to police and muzzle him in an attempt to "control the narrative." From then on it did not go too well....this is what happened. theguardian.com/sport/2026/aprโฆ

โnot many people in life get to achieve their dream, but i was the lucky guy that managed to do exactly that. so big thanks to everyone at mclaren, my mum and dad of course, my whole family, everyone that's been on that journey with me itโs been incredible. it's a beautiful award, i'll put it next to my world championship trophy and i'll smile every dayโ ๐ฅนโค๏ธ

@jigsawrush I would def call it wrong idk. โBy ANY driverโ. Would you even consider there might be another driver? I feel like thatโs not really fair. Heโs usually right about stats but this time he got it wrong ๐คท

@O7maybe @JustJoshingF1 hence definitely a bit misleading, considering the implication, but as stated not technically untrue?

Never forget that Charles Leclerc had a record 8 poles in his first & only season in F2. This is the most poles by any driver in GP2 or F2 history.

@jigsawrush @JustJoshingF1 โthis is the most poles by any driver in gp2 to or f2 historyโ implies iris not a shared stat
English

@JustJoshingF1 this disproves nothing in the original post though, no? a shared record is still a record, it's not like 8 poles is suddenly less than... well, 8 poles
ar most the original post is a bit misleading, but it's not incorrect?
