May God help us.
Bishop J. Strickland@BishStrickland

Statement from Bishop Joseph E. Strickland On the UK House of Commons Vote to Permit Abortion Up to Birth With sorrowful indignation, I condemn the vote by the UK House of Commons to permit abortion up to the moment of birth—a decision so barbaric, so devoid of conscience, that it defies the very notion of civilization. This is not legislation—it is legalized slaughter. It is the cold, calculated permission to tear innocent children from their mothers’ wombs at the threshold of life. What kind of nation, what kind of people, look upon a fully formed child and call her disposable? What kind of parliament declares open season on the most vulnerable and calls it “choice”? Let us be absolutely clear: this is murder. Euphemisms cannot cleanse this evil. The vote in Westminster is a grave offense against Almighty God, a moral descent into depravity, and a sign of a society that has lost its soul. Saint John Paul II warned us: “The acceptance of abortion in the popular mind, in behavior and even in law itself, is a telling sign of an extremely dangerous crisis of the moral sense, which is becoming more and more incapable of distinguishing between good and evil.” (Evangelium Vitae, no. 58) And the prophet Isaiah cries out again in our day: “Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness … that justify the wicked for gifts, and take away the justice of the just from him.” (Isaiah 5:20, 23) To the faithful in the UK: you must resist this with every spiritual and moral force at your disposal. To be silent now is to be complicit. To the priests and bishops: you must preach, you must act, you must protect the little ones! No excuse, no delay. The measure of a nation is not its wealth, but its mercy. And a nation that slaughters its unborn on the altar of convenience has chosen death. May God have mercy on the United Kingdom. May the Blood of these innocents cry out to Heaven—and may the faithful never cease to defend them, until this darkness is cast down. Bishop Joseph E. Strickland

🙏🇺🇸🙏 He runs straight into gunfire no one is surviving. July 11, 1969. A Shau Valley, Vietnam. The jungle is thick, loud, and already filled with wounded men. Delta Company is surrounded. Eighty soldiers trapped. Seventy-eight already dead or injured. Collapse is minutes away. Specialist Fourth Class Gordon Roberts is dropped in by helicopter with his platoon. Fifty feet down by rope, boots hit dirt, and the world explodes. Automatic fire rips through the trees. Grenades tear the ridge apart. Four men go down immediately. There is no time to think. Roberts moves. He breaks from cover and charges the first bunker alone. Two enemy soldiers inside. He eliminates them and climbs on top, signaling his men forward —then another bunker opens up and smashes his rifle apart in his hands. Roberts grabs an enemy rifle he's never used before. No idea how much ammunition it holds. No guarantee it even works. So he switches to what he trusts—grenades. Seven, maybe eight. He starts clearing bunkers one by one. Explosions. Dirt. Smoke. Silence-then more fire. He's cut off now. Completely alone. No support. No backup. Just a 20-year-old soldier moving through a storm of bullets, choosing to go forward every single time he could have stopped. Four bunkers fall. And then he reaches them. The wounded. The barely breathing. The men who thought no one was coming. Roberts doesn't rest. He turns around and walks back into the same fire-again and again— carrying them out. One trip. Then another. Then another. Not once. Multiple times. He finishes his tour. Comes home. April 1970. One year later, they hand him the Medal of Honor. He's 20 years old. The youngest living recipient at the time. But when he speaks, he doesn't talk about what he did. He talks about the men beside him. Because for Gordon Roberts, the medal was never his. It belonged to the ones he carried out... and the ones he couldn’t 🙏🇺🇸🙏

🙏🇺🇸🙏 Henry Eugene Erwin was already on fire when he made his decision. If he failed, the entire aircraft would explode. He was 24 years old. From Alabama. A quiet enlisted airman serving aboard a B-29 bomber in the Pacific during World War II. On April 12, 1945, everything went wrong. A white phosphorus flare misfired inside the aircraft. It exploded. Blinding light. Thick smoke. Fire spreading fast. The burning flare rolled into the plane. White phosphorus doesn't just burn. It keeps burning. Erwin was hit directly. Flames covered his body. His skin burned. His eyes blinded. The cockpit filled with smoke. The crew couldn't see. The plane was seconds from crashing. He knew. If no one moved, they all died. So he did. While burning alive, Erwin grabbed the flare with his bare hands. Pulled it against his chest. Crawled through fire and smoke across the aircraft. Every second, it burned deeper. He reached the cockpit. Used the last of his strength. And threw it out the window. The smoke cleared. The pilot regained control. The crew lived. Erwin didn't. Not that day. He survived—but barely. Lost parts of his face. Fingers. Vision. Endured 40+ surgeries over years. Henry Erwin saved every man on that plane. He carried death in his hands... so others could go home. 🙏🇺🇸🙏

It’s still insane that Walker Smith has been dismissed by Waitrose for attempting to stop a shoplifter nicking Easter eggs. Meanwhile, the shoplifter is still walking around, probably still shoplifting whilst Walker ponders how he will pay the bills. Broken Britain summed up.

Odd that right wing politicians become wealthy before entering politics, whilst the leftwing ones seem to make millions from a job that only pays 90k a year 🤔

This raging Marxist lunatic calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel and cheering for the Iranian Islamo-fascist regime that slaughtered 40,000 unarmed protesters is a vascular surgeon at an NHS hospital. We pay his wages and could end up being treated by him. Does he sound like the sort of person you'd trust to treat you or your family?

Honestly, I’ve seen my country in bad times, and lived through them. But I have never experienced decline, surrender and stupidity presided over by a government of the United Kingdom on the scale we currently see. It’s truly unprecedented in my lifetime

Ashanti's trunk is what makes her both remarkable and resilient. The bottom half was severed by a poacher's snare, cutting off the 'fingers' that allow African elephants to dextrously forage for food. It's a disadvantage, certainly, but if there is one thing we have come to know, it's that elephants are adaptable. Already, Ashanti – one of the most spirited members of our Voi herd – has developed all sorts of workarounds. While she will likely rely on our care for many years to come, we are optimistic that she will thrive in the wild one day. For the time being, she keeps us on our toes with strong opinions about milk feeds and zero patience when hers is late. Discover Ashanti's story: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/ashanti
