I hate to break it to you, but there’s no universal trading approach.
I know traders who hold positions for months and traders who hold for 5 minutes. I know breakout traders, mean reversion traders, momentum traders, option degenerates, and people who barely even look at charts.
Some of them make far more money than I can imagine, but there is 1 universal truth I’ve noticed...
...if you do not understand yourself, the market will eventually teach you the hard way.
Trading became much easier once I stopped trying to trade like people on my X timeline and started paying attention to my own tendencies.
> What environments make me emotional?
> What setups actually fit my personality?
> Do I hesitate in certain situations?
Ask yourself simple questions + evaluate.
The market is kind of like a personal trainer...
If your form is bad, eventually the weight exposes it.
Not immediately, but eventually.
And trading works the exact same way. Your weaknesses stay hidden during easy environments…until volatility arrives and suddenly every emotional flaw gets dragged into the spotlight.
2 words... Self-awareness.
It might sound deep or philosophical, but the better you understand yourself, the less tuition you have to pay the market trying to figure it out by yourself.

Kenalin Atheris hispida alias Ular Semak Berbulu.
Cantik-cantik mematikan! 🫣

@korinek_trades The collapse of self-trust after violating their own structure.
No structure → No Trade.
No proof → No Trade.
No self-command → ABORT.💡☀️

@Momotrader777 Because the market sells novelty,
but pays mastery.
Great traders don’t chase more.
They repeat better.
One edge.
One circle.
No exceptions.
Outside your circle, talent becomes danger.
Inside your circle, repetition becomes wealth.🏆☀️

There are several psychological biases that prevent us from being great traders.
The most difficult for me is to do the same thing over and over again.
It is so ease to try a new setup, to trade outside my circle of competence.
Specialize and do nothing outside yoyr circle of competence!
Kasparov always played the Sicilian defense with the black pieces. Bobby Fischer forst move was always E4. Why is it so difficult to mimic that approach on trading?

In America, eighteen is the age when independence is declared—whether reality is ready or not.
Along the way, my father was either influenced by TV or misled by misinformation. From the time I was in elementary school until I entered adulthood, he would occasionally remind me that American children become fully independent at eighteen and magically graduate from family support—or anyone in the family—entirely. That definitely shaped my entire worldview…
Then reality told the truth, and I started seriously wondering: how many actually cook for themselves instead of surviving on fast food? And how many are still getting help from their parents with rent, loans, or other “fully independent” expenses?
By the way, my father still sometimes uses his retirement money to support relatives’ children, despite the fact that those “children” are well beyond eighteen.
So apparently, “independent at eighteen” is a sacred American principle… generously sponsored by my father’s retirement account…
