We are deeply saddened by the flooding situation in the country, which has resulted in loss of lives and destruction of property, particularly in Nairobi and its environs. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families that have lost their loved ones following the devastating effects of heavy rains and wish a speedy recovery to those who have been injured. We also stand in solidarity with all those who have suffered loss and damage to their property during this difficult time. The multi-agency teams have made significant progress in the ongoing search and rescue operations in the affected areas and continue to provide a swift and coordinated response to emerging incidents. National Government Administration officials across the country are instructed to remain alert and work with officers from the National Police Service and other teams in a multi-agency manner to respond to the situation and save lives. Even as the Government works towards providing a long-term solution to this situation, we urge members of the public to take precautionary measures as advised by the Kenya Meteorological Department. Remain vigilant, particularly in areas prone to flooding and related risks. We reiterate our commitment to protecting lives and property, and to working with all relevant agencies to ensure timely response, recovery and support to affected communities.

Super petrol price down by 4 shillings a litre. The price has dropped gradually from a high 218 shillings to the current 178 shillings, ( a net difference of 40 shillings), providing relief for households and sustaining the macro economic stability of the last three years.
