@Ben_Yoel I think Hefner is great coach. I also think Stearns should be allowed to bring in his own guy. To quote Rick Peterson; “I’m the hardwood floor that’s getting ripped out, and they’re going to bring in the Tuscany tile. It’ll be great.” Sometimes the house just needs a renovation.

I think scapegoating Jeremy Hefner, who is a tremendous pitching coach, is a bad look for the organization. It’s not his fault the Mets shopped in the bargain aisle for starting pitching.

Steve Cohen’s $341 million Mets have just been supplanted in the playoffs by the Cincinnati Reds whose payroll is $119 million - a $222 million differential. Can’t think of a more embarrassing season by a New York baseball team.

@AlyssaRose Yeah, nah. I was depressed for years 06-08. Sick to my stomach. On 2015 erased that. This stinks but I'll get over this one quickly. Even the first part of the season felt like smoke and mirrors on the pitching end.
