@BBCr4today We can add that the Eastern Cape Department of Health will cascade the approach to 3,000 Community Health Workers in its partnership with us - the charity Rudzani represents. Up to 450,000 in underserved communities will now benefit through 50 Master Trainers sharing the method.

“We are seeing a state in which zero children are born with HIV.” Prof Rudzani Muloiwa, head of child health at the University of Cape Town, talks to #R4Today about the impact of a programme which provides mentors for vulnerable mothers to help reduce transmission to babies.

As the world commemorates 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗗𝗮𝘆, One to One Africa is highlighting the often understated importance of providing psychosocial support to adolescents living with HIV/AIDS (ALWHA). More below.
