@AgnewLeon78359 @RichardDreyfuss I think what he was thinking was about obsession. I wouldn’t want him to make the film today because it would be too subjected to Spielberg as a father. This story is about Roy Neary and some would say his passion, others would say his madness that happens after his encounter.

@OurCE3K @RichardDreyfuss I love Close Encounters, but it's an odd film. Roy Neary abandoned his family. I know Spielberg wouldn't make the same film today, but what was he thinking back then?
